There’s no new paint to show off this week as the sanding is taking me *forever*, so instead I decided to follow Matt around to see what keeps him busy everyday while I work on the cabin top.
Also, there’s a long awaited tour of our interior for you to see. As we clean up the boat to show it off to my parents coming in to visit, we thought it would be a great chance to show it off to you too. It’s a long way from being finished, but at least it should give you a good idea of what it might become.
Cheers from the work yard!

It’s going to be a beautiful boat! Love all the woodwork. Must be nice to know that everything will be the way that YOU want it. No shower in the head, right? Keep up the good work!
I think you’ve said before, but how tall is Matt, and how much headroom does he have throughout the boat? I’m finding that to be a huge limiting factor as I slowly build the list of my possible boats because I’m 6’2″.
Wynne, there will be a shower in the head, we just have not installed it yet. The wall it will be sitting on is full of screw holes from the wall at the nav station. We still have to fill them and repaint that area before we can add our shower head in there. 🙂
Matt, my Matt is just about 6′ tall and had around 1.5″ of head room. We did have to add a little insulation to the overhead because it is an aluminum boat, otherwise you’d probably be able to comfortably clear it too.
Jessica, good to hear that you will be adding a shower. I thought perhaps you were hooked on cockpit showers!

Looking good! Y’alls state of interior looks like ours! Always a construction zone, but you guys are doing WORK!
A thought on your dining table stick out ring things, you can cut them and have them machined with threads. Then you just need a plate to screw them in when you need the table and out when you don’t want to bruise your shins. If the original plate is thick enough it could be tapped as well, a shop could do that cheap but it’s not outside of something you can do as well.
Keep it up!
