Our first days in the Bahamas led us to the clearest water in the world, where it is like looking at an aquarium from our deck.
After entering the Little Bahama Bank, we spend a full day motoring through light winds only to get half way through. Dropping anchor in the middle of nowhere for the night, we wake us to glass calm water and a pod of dolphins coming to say hello.
Making our way to Powell Cay that night, we spend a few days exploring this beautiful and uninhabited island, hiking through jungle like trails and even taking Georgie for walks on the beach while enjoying beautiful sunsets.
Cheers from the Bahamas!

I’ll be sailing in the Bahamas next week (chartering a boat our of Marsh Harbor with my husband and our friends) and would so psyched if we ran into you two – it would be like a celebrity sighting! I’m so excited that you are back on the water, I’ve been following your adventure since the very beginning. And while not originally from Michigan we’ve been living in Ann Arbor for the last 3ish years. The past few weeks have been brutally cold here, like negative degrees for days and night on end cold, so the warmth and blue skies of the Bahamas is SO welcome right about now!
Hope I don’t come off as a super stalker (:

Hi Megan! Not a super stalker at all, we’ve actually met lots of friends this way. 🙂 We’re actually in Marsh Harbour at the moment, although to tell you the truth, I have no idea where we’ll be next week. This weather has been holding us down for pretty long now, waiting out all these northerly blows here, so we’re ready to do a little exploring again once it lets up on Friday. We know we’ll be in the Abacos, but we don’t know if we’ll be north or south of Marsh Harbour. If you see our metal hull though, pop by and say hi!
