There was no way we could spend another New Years Eve stuck in Indiantown, and took an opportunity to visit our friends Cati and Johannes on their catamaran in Ft. Lauderdale. Before we could get there though, there’s the never ending list of boat projects. This time it included getting our mast all the way on deck before having to drop it again due to rigging issues.
Cheers from the work yard!

Hi Matt & Jessica!
Great blog! Thanks for the great info! So, you’re in the yard in Florida working on the boat, or when you’re cruising in warm weather.. How do you take care of Georgie when you have to leave the boat and it’s very hot? I plan on cruising with a cat as well, and have always wondered how I can ensure she’ll be OK if we leave the boat to go shopping, touring etcetera, especially when it’s hot. Most cruisers of course cannot run A/C for pets when they leave the boat, and the boat has to be closed up.
Thanks!
Eric S.
